April Barajas
Hello, families! My name is Mrs. Barajas, and I am thrilled to be a kindergarten teacher this year. I moved to Las Vegas four years ago with my wonderful husband, after growing up Pennsylvania. Since settling here, we have been enjoying the vibrant community and sunny weather. Our family has grown with the addition of our adorable one-year-old daughter, who keeps us busy and full of joy.
I am genuinely excited to work with you and your child to create a fantastic and successful school year. Open communication is key to a positive educational experience, so please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns. You can contact me via email, leave a note in your child’s homework folder, or connect with me through CLASSDOJO. Let’s work together to ensure this is a memorable and productive year for your kindergartener!
Laura Reynolds
Hi Panthers!! My name is LAURA REYNOLDS. I am a native Californian where I received my bachelors and master’s degrees. I taught in southern California (Huntington Beach…who doesn’t love the beach, right?!) from Kinder age to high school and adult school for over 20 years. I moved to Vegas in 2016 and instantly began teaching midyear here at Pittman. My passion is with the early age students where I taught 7 years in pre-K and last year in kinder. This will be my 9th year teaching at Pittman as a kindergarten teacher. I am truly looking forward to this year. We have an awesome Kinder team who love teaching and capturing the hearts and minds of 5 year olds. I am looking forward to meeting you and your student. When I am not teaching I am at home with my dog. I enjoy walking, reading and watching movies to relax my mind. I live currently with one dog. I travel between Arizona, Tennessee, and Texas to see my four daughters and mom. Currently, I have 10 grandsons, and hope someday I will get a granddaughter! I occasionally travel back to southern California to visit friends and soak up the rays! I love teaching. I love the excitement. I love the aha moment in a child's eyes when they grasp something and love the fact that they are learning. I am looking forward to a wonderful and delightful school year.
