My name is Mrs. Barajas, and I’m so excited to be teaching kindergarten this year! This will be my 6th year teaching in elementary education, and I absolutely love working with young learners. Their energy, curiosity, and joy make every day in the classroom an adventure. When I’m not at school, I’m spending time with my husband, our two-year-old daughter, and our playful pug puppy, Tilly — she definitely keeps things interesting! I also enjoy baking homemade bread, hitting the golf course when I can, and relaxing with my family.

I truly believe that strong communication between school and home is key to a successful year. I’m always here to support you and your child, so please feel free to reach out via email, ClassDojo, or by sending a note in your child’s folder.

I love teaching. I love the excitement. I love the “aha” moment in a child’s eyes when they finally grasp something new. I’m so grateful to be part of this incredible journey and look forward to a fantastic year full of learning, laughter, and growth. Let’s make it a great one!

Hi Panther families!!  My name is LAURA REYNOLDS. I am a native Californian where I received my bachelors and master’s degrees. I taught in southern California (Huntington Beach…who doesn’t love the beach, right?!) from Kinder age and high school and adult school for over 20 years. I moved to Vegas in 2016 and instantly began teaching midyear here at Pittman.  My passion is with the early age students where I taught 7 years in pre-K and the last 2 years in kinder. This will be my 10th year teaching at Pittman..  I am truly looking forward to this year.                                       We have an awesome Kinder team who love teaching and capturing the hearts and minds of 5 year olds. I am looking forward to meeting you and your student.   When I am not teaching I am at home with my dog. I enjoy walking, reading and watching movies to relax my mind. I live currently with one dog. I travel between Arizona, Tennessee, and Texas to see my four daughters and mom.       Currently, I have 10 grandsons, and hope someday I will get a granddaughter!  I occasionally travel back to southern California to visit friends and soak up the rays!  I love teaching. I love the excitement. I love the aha moment in a child's eyes when they grasp something and love the fact that they are learning. I am looking forward to a wonderful and delightful school year.I truly believe that strong communication between school and home is key to a successful year. I’m always here to support you and your child, so please feel free to reach out via email, ClassDojo, or by sending a note in your child’s folder.

My name is Mrs. Ybarra, and I’m thrilled to be your child’s Kindergarten teacher this year! This is my second year at Pittman Elementary and my first year teaching Kindergarten—a milestone I’m incredibly excited about. In 2019 I moved to Las Vegas from Nicaragua with my husband and our two sons, who are now in middle school. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and I bring with me over five years of experience teaching English to Spanish-speaking students in Nicaragua. I am truly honored to be your child’s first teacher, and I am looking forward to a year full of learning, growth, and joyful moments. I can’t wait to get to know each of you and to partner together for a successful school year!
