I am so excited to be joining the First Grade Team and to be a part of these amazing fundemental learning years at Pittman! I was born and raised in Massachusetts and moved out to Las Vegas after completing my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education in 1998 along with a Minor in Child Psychology. After teaching Second Grade for two years in 2002-2004, I opted to stay home to raise my two sons who are now almost fully grown and heading into their first college years. This is my second year at Pittman after teaching Second Grade for the 2023-2024 school year and now look forward to this new amazing venture in the First Grade. I am a huge animal and nature lover, as well as a published Young Adult Paranormal Writer.

Hi! my name is Solangel Jimenez and I am so excited to be a first grade teacher at Pittman. I strive to ensure that my classroom is full of positivity, growth, safety, and having fun everyday with learning. I graduated from Nevada State Univeristy with my bachelors in Elementary Education. I am so excited to kick off this year, and see our students grow to their best potential.

Hello, my name is Mia Villazante! This is my first year here at Pittman and I am so excited to be a part of the Panther community! I aspire to be the best teacher that I can be for our students. I believe a great learning environment promotes safety, encourages positive language, and celebrates success and progress. In our classroom, each student is valued, heard, loved, and respected! I love getting to know your kiddoes and it is so amazing to see their academic and personal growth. When I am not teaching, I am spending time with my family and friends. We love to have game nights, outdoor adventures, or movie nights. I was born and raised here in Las Vegas and I went to UNLV for my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. I am thrilled to welcome you to our classroom, and I cannot wait to see what this year has in store for us!
