I am so excited to be teaching First Grade for my third year at Pittman! Las Vegas has been my home for well over 25 years but I originally grew up in Massachusetts. I had attained my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Plymouth University in New Hampshire and moved out to Las Vegas shortly after. I have 2 young adult sons with one of them in college. Walking and spending time with my dog and writing are my passtimes when I'm not school. I'm looking foward to a great year with your student(s)!

Hi, my name is Khivani Young, and this is my second year teaching at Pittman, I previously taught 3rd grade! I'm originally from Los Angeles but moved to Dallas,Texas for about 10 years, before moving here to Vegas to finish my Bachelor's in Fine Arts from UNLV and to be closer to family. When I'm not teaching you can find me creating art, whether that is designing new characters or writing! I’m a big concert person, so, if I’m not planning my next trip, I’m spending time with my loved ones or my pets. I have and ES dog, Phineas, and a pet cockatiel, called Pigeon.
I recently completed my MA program in Education, so I’m looking forward to applying my newfound knowledge to the classroom and growing the wonderful and expansive minds of my students this year!
