Hi families and students! I am Miss Irwin and am so excited to teach 1st Grade at Pittman this year! This will be my 2nd year at Pittman and my 7th year teaching. I starting teaching in Ogden, Utah after I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from Brigham Young University Idaho. I then moved to Las Vegas and have been here for 5 years. I moved around a lot growing up and lived in South Carolina, Kentucky, Las Vegas, Maryland, Washington, Idaho, and Utah. I have loved coming back to Las Vegas after a decade and still feeling at home! When I'm not teaching, I love to cross stitch, watch tv, and read. I look forward to getting to know you and working with your and your child to help them grow and reach or exceed their potential! Please email me with any concerns or questions! Let's have a great year!

Hi families and students! I'm Ms. Peres and I am excited to teach 1st grade this year at Pittman. First, let me tell you a little bit about myself. This will be my 19th year teaching in the Clark County School District and my 1st year in first grade. I was born and raised in California, where I received my Bachelor’s Degree from California State University of Northridge in 2002. I moved to Las Vegas in 2003 and I received my Master’s in Education from University of Phoenix in 2006. When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy watching sports such as Vegas Golden Knights and Dallas Cowboys, baking, reading, drawing, scrapbooking, and spending time with my friends, family and my adorable dog Diesel.

Teaching has always been a passion of mine and I enjoy seeing my students grow academically, as well as socially. In my classroom, you will find a fun environment where your child will feel safe and feel that they can be anything that they want to be. I encourage my students to have their voices be heard and to be supportive of one another. I am committed to helping each one of my students love, respect and appreciate the concepts being taught. I am here for all my students to help them in their journey of learning. With commitment, dedication and some fun, this upcoming school year will be a successful one!
