Hello Panthers! My name is Mrs. Viola and I am so excited to be joining this amazing community as a 5th grade teacher! I am born and raised in Argentina and moved to Las Vegas when I was only 14 years old. My Undergraduate and Master’s degrees are both from UNLV. Go Rebels! This will be my 2nd year teaching in 5th grade. I am married to an amazing man, Lucas, and we have two awesome kids, Sebastian and Karma. I have a Pittbull named Max, who is like my third child. When I am not at school, I love working out, specially CrossFit, hanging out with my friends and family. I also love traveling, every year we pick a new country to learn its culture, but mainly I just love to eat good food. I believe that school should be a safe and fun experience. I love to create an environment where all students feel supported and where it is truly their happy place. I believe that when I build relationships with my students and capture their hearts, then I can go on to capture their minds. I love to utilize cooperative learning strategies and have the kiddos moving around as much as possible, all while learning even when they don’t realize it! I cannot wait to spend this year with you all and I know that it will be fabulous!!

Teaching has always been a passion of mine and I enjoy seeing my students grow academically, as well as socially. In my classroom, you may or may not find me standing on chairs/tables to grab my classroom's attention. I encourage my students to have their voices be heard and to be supportive of one another. I am committed to helping each one of my students love, respect and appreciate the concepts being taught. I always will try to apply real world situations and applications to whatever content there is. I believe that this is all crucial for student success. With commitment, dedication and some fun, this upcoming school year will be a successful one!

Hi families and students! I'm Mr. Rodriguez and I am excited to teach 5th grade this year at Pittman. First, let me tell you a little bit about myself. This year, I'll be starting my 6th year teaching in the Clark County School District and my 7th year overall. Previously, I had taught high school math in LA. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA where I received my Bachelors Degree from Cal State Dominguez Hills in 2012. I have 2 dogs, a Dogo Argentino named Krypto (after Superman's dog) as well as my puppy She's a Blue Heeler. Krypto is my alarm clock for their early morning walks. When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy hiking, anime, and sports. I am an avid sports fan (GO Dodgers, Raiders, Lakers and LA Kings!!!) and love bringing that friendly competition into the classroom. With commitment, dedication and some fun, this upcoming school year will be a successful one!

Good Day Panthers! I'm Ms. Norris and I am so excited to be joining this amazing community as a 5th grade teacher! I was born in California and raised in Michigan and moved to Nevada ten years ago to teach - at Pittman! My Undergraduate and Master’s degrees are both from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. Go Blue! I studied Nursing and Political Science and my Master’s degree is in Education. I love learning and creating a love for school. This will be my tenth year teaching, all in first and seventh grades. Fifth grade is so much fun because I really feel that I get to create a strong foundation to develop lifelong learners.

I have two awesome children, Annie and Sarah. They love sports, volunteering and working from California and Oregon. I have no pets so I will love to hear all about yours! When I am not at school, I love jogging, tennis, swimming and hanging out with my friends. I also love traveling to different countries and interacting with all kinds of people.

I believe that school should be a safe and fun experience. I love to create an environment where all students feel supported and appreciated. I believe that when I build relationships with my students and capture their hearts I can go on to expand their viewpoints. I love to use cooperative learning strategies and to have the children move around using different learning modalities - all while understanding the lessons! I cannot wait to spend this year with you all and I know it will be fabulous!!
