My name is Mrs. Barajas, and I’m so excited to be teaching kindergarten this year! This will be my 6th year teaching in elementary education, and I absolutely love working with young learners. Their energy, curiosity, and joy make every day in the classroom an adventure. When I’m not at school, I’m spending time with my husband, our two-year-old daughter, and our playful pug puppy, Tilly — she definitely keeps things interesting! I also enjoy baking homemade bread, hitting the golf course when I can, and relaxing with my family.

I truly believe that strong communication between school and home is key to a successful year. I’m always here to support you and your child, so please feel free to reach out via email, ClassDojo, or by sending a note in your child’s folder.

I love teaching. I love the excitement. I love the “aha” moment in a child’s eyes when they finally grasp something new. I’m so grateful to be part of this incredible journey and look forward to a fantastic year full of learning, laughter, and growth. Let’s make it a great one!

Mabuhay!

I am Rodel Lintag, originally from the Philippines. I am married with two children. I finished Bachelor of Elementary Education in 1996, Master of Arts in Education in 2000, and Doctor of Philosophy in Education in 2023.

I am a happy person. I do not easily give up on problems, especially life matters. I am dependable when things get rough. I al likewise an ambivert person. I can live alone and I can mingle with people. I am down to earth. I am goal-drive where I focus myself towards the achievement of the goals. I love sharing what I know and what I have, especially in times of need. I care for the children entrusted to me as if they are my own children. I teach them to be good at all times for  them to grow as a model to others.

In my 2nd year at Pittman ES, I am confident that with the caring environment of the school community, my kiddos and I can grow holistically.

Hello!

I am very excited to be teaching 2nd grade this year! This will be my seventh year teaching at Pittman! 2nd grade is a fun time where students start becoming more independent as they master new skills. 2nd grade is a great year full of new friends, new adventures, and new discoveries. In my classroom your child is cared about. I value their ideas, thoughts, and actions. They have unique talents and strengths and I can’t wait for them to share with their classmates. They will each bring so much to our class and I can’t wait to learn more about them! I believe that parent, teacher, and student communication is the most crucial component for a successful school year filled with academic and personal growth. A little bit about me. I have a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and a Master of Education in Learning and Technology. In 2002, I moved to Las Vegas with my family. I have a son who is going to college to be an nanotech engineer. Few things I like are chocolate, coffee, traveling and watching my favorite shows. I look forward to getting to know you throughout this year! Feel free to email me whenever you have a question!
