Hello, Panthers!
My name is Mrs. Barajas, and I am excited to begin my third year at Pittman! I was born and raised in Pennsylvania and earned my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. I am currently working on my master's degree at UNLV, and this will be my sixth year teaching in elementary education.
Kindergarten is an exciting year of growth and discovery. My goal is to provide a strong academic foundation while fostering curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning. I believe that open communication and a strong partnership between home and school are essential to each child's success, and I look forward to working alongside families to help every student reach their full potential.
When I'm not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our three-year-old daughter, and we're excited to welcome our baby boy soon!

Ms. Reynolds
Hi, Panther Families! My name is Ms. Reynolds, and I am so excited to welcome you to Kindergarten! I am a native Californian, where I earned both my bachelor's and master's degrees in education. I taught in Southern California (Huntington Beach—who doesn't love the beach?!) for over 20 years, working with students from preschool through high school and even adult education.In 2016, I moved to Las Vegas and joined the Pittman family mid-year. Since then, I've found my true passion teaching our youngest learners. I spent seven wonderful years teaching Pre-K and the past three years in Kindergarten. This school year marks my 11th year at Pittman Elementary, and I couldn't be more excited!Our Kindergarten team is amazing—we love teaching, inspiring, and capturing the hearts and minds of our five-year-olds. I can't wait to meet you and your child and begin this exciting learning adventure together.When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time at home with my 2 rescue dogs. I love walking, reading, and watching movies to relax. My family keeps me busy, too! I travel to Arizona, Tennessee, and Texas to visit my four daughters and my mom. I'm also the proud grandmother of 10 grandsons, and 1 granddaughter!! Whenever I get the chance, I also enjoy visiting friends in Southern California and soaking up a little sunshine.Teaching is truly my passion. I love the excitement that each school day brings, and there is nothing more rewarding than seeing the "aha!" moment in a child's eyes when they understand something new. Helping children discover the joy of learning is one of my greatest privileges.I truly believe that a strong partnership between home and school is the key to a successful and enjoyable school year.
