Hello Panthers!  My name is Monique Lewis and I am so excited to be joining this amazing community as a 4th grade teacher!  I am born and raised in Las Vegas and a product of CCSD.  My Bachelor's degree is in Elementary education and Special Education.  Go Lopes! This will be my 3rd year teaching, I taught 1 year in kindergarten ,1 year in 3rd grade, and now I am excited to join the 4th grade team.  

 

    I am married to an amazing man, Dee, and we have 6 awesome children, 3 of which are 2024 high school graduates. One of the graduates will be heading off to college this fall to pursue a degree in business ,which we are excited about . In my free time I like to be outdoors and spending time with my family .

   

I believe that school should be a safe and fun experience.  I love to create an environment where all students feel supported and where it is truly their happy place.  I believe that when I build relationships with my students and capture their hearts, then I can go on to capture their minds.  I love to utilize cooperative learning strategies and have the kiddos moving around as much as possible, all while learning even when they don’t realize it!  I cannot wait to spend this year with you all and I know that it will be fabulous!!
